शैलूष

A गन्धर्व . A class of गन्धर्वस् is also known as " शैलूसस् ". Some references found in the पुराणस् concerning शैलूषस् are given below:--
श्री राम sent भरत and completely destroyed the class of गन्धर्वस् called शैलूषस् who were causing trouble on the shore of the eastern ocean. (Kamba Rāmāyaṇa, Uttara Kāṇḍa) .
During the reign of श्रीराम , as ordered by him, भरत killed with his shower of arrows, the wicked गन्धर्व named शैलूष and his three crores of sons who lived on the banks of the river सिन्धु . (Agni Purāṇa, Chapter 11) .
रावण 's brother, विभीषण had married सरमा the daughter of a शैलूष गन्धर्व . (Uttara Rāmāyaṇa)
The गन्धर्व named शैलूष serves कुबेर and remains in कुबेर 's assembly. [mh-2-10-26 ] .
