An ancient King. He worshipped कामधेनु and obtained a son who was a devotee of विष्णु . The son's name was सत्यवान् . In connection with श्री राम 's अश्वमेधयाग , शत्रुघ्न who was leading the horse, arrived in सत्यवान् 's city during his tour of the eastern lands. (Padma Purāṇa, Pātāla Khaṇḍa, Chapter 30) .
