अङ्गिरस् , the son of ब्रह्मा had a son named सुधन्वा . सुधन्वा had three children, ऋभुक्षन् , विभ्वन् and वाज . These three persons form the ऋभुस् as mentioned in ऋग्वेद , 1st मण्डल , 16th अनुवाक , 111th सूक्त .
ऋभुस् and Miracles
Long ago, a cow belonging to a ऋषि died. Its calf began to cry. The ऋषि took pity on it and prayed to the ऋभुस् . They made a cow and covered it with the skin of the dead cow and placed it in front of the calf. Because of its likeness to its mother, the calf believed it to be its mother.
ऋभुस् restored their parents who had become old, to youth. (Ṛgveda, 1st Maṇḍala, 16th Anuvāka. 11th Sūkta)
ऋग्वेद says that it was the ऋभुस् who made इन्द्र 's horses, the chariot of the अश्विनीस् and बृहस्पति 's cow.
