A महर्षि . He lived in a hilly region very far away from the हिमालय s. Once the महर्षि called श्यावाश्व invited रथवीति to perform a होम at the यज्ञ conducted by King तरन्त , and when he came for the होम with his daughter the father of श्यावाश्व asked him to marry his daughter to श्यावाश्व . रथवीति not only refused, but also dismissed श्यावाश्व from the याज्ञिच् platform. At last रथवीति married his daughter to श्यावाश्व at the request of King तरन्त . (Ṛgveda, Sāyaṇabhāṣya)
