The father of सगर . During the old age of फल्गुतन्त्र the हैहयस् led by तालजङ्घस् attacked अयोध्या and drove out the royal family from the palace. फल्गुतन्त्र fled from the palace with his wife and stayed in the आश्रम of और्व . The King died before long. The queen who was pregnant then delivered a son in due course and he became the celebrated सगर . (Chapter 3, Brahmāṇḍa Purāṇa)
