A disciple of व्यास . It was the five disciples of व्यास named सुमन्तु , जैमिनि , पैल , शुक and वैशम्पायन who gave publicity to the original महाभारत . (See under Guruparamparā) . He was the son of a person named वसु and attended the राजसूय of युधिष्ठिर .
