There are seven सरस्वती rivers in the world. These are सुप्रभा , काञ्चनाक्षी , विशाला , मनोरमा , सरस्वती , ओघवती and सुरेणु . In the महाभारत , शल्य पर्व , Chapter 38 we find that ओघवती was invoked and brought to कुरुक्षेत्र . It was on the bank of this ओघवती that भीस्म fell and lay on the शरशय्या . (Bed of arrows).
